I have deliver 6 eulogies: each of my parents, 2 uncles, the best man from my wedding and a work mentor and friend. I have always tried to paint a picture of who the person was, as a human being, not just what they were or what they did. It is a kindness to the family and friends of the deceased and you invariably learn something you did not know about the deceased. It often serves to remind you that all human life is special and everyone has their qualities, challenges etc, even those we assume have lived “ordinary” lives. Michael
